The Lotus

The lotus flower – oh, how I love thee. I was given this necklace by a loved one and it makes me smile every time I see it. I, along with ancient ancestors, have had a deep affection for this flower, for what it symbolizes. Poets have written about it. Religions have revered it. For some, it’s esteemed as purity, compassion, beauty. Out of muddy waters, it grows. No matter your surroundings, you have the power to be that compassion, pure light and love that is needed in this world. You have the capability to be a lotus flower in your surroundings. Namaste.

  1. Great post; inspiring symbolism. Keep writing!
